Jethmalani walks out of Devil's Advocate show

New DelhiOn a day when the entire Rajasthan membership of the BJP's national executive boycotted the Patna meeting because of ace criminal lawyer Ram Jethmalani becoming a BJP Rajya Sabha candidate, CNN-IBN questioned the top criminal lawyer about the critical comments he had made about Vajpayee when he contested against him in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections. Jethmalani retaliated by lashing out at the Congress before walking out of the Devil’s Advocate show.
Here are the excerpts from the interview:
Ram Jethmalani: Now the circumstances have changed... the circumstances today are that the Congress is responsible for the poverty of this country... the Congress is responsible for the corruption of this country. Congress is responsible for all the ills of the country... and I want a united opposition to grow and there can be no united opposition unless the BJP is a party to it. I am prepared to forgive and forget everything... in the higher interest of India, of the nation and the people of India who are much more dear to me than you are.Karan Thapar: Calm down a moment, calm down.
Ram Jethmalani: No, sorry
Karan Thapar: Calm down.
Ram Jethmalani: No you are your old self, you decide...you assured me that you've improved but you've not...I'm sorry.
Karan Thapar: Calm down a moment Mr Jethmalani.
Ram Jethmalani: No, you can tell your viewers, you can tell your viewers whatever you like.
Karan Thapar: You haven't even let me ask the questions.
Ram Jethmalani: No...I'm...
Karan Thapar: You haven't let me point out, how on Afzal Guru you differ?
Ram Jethmalani: I am not carrying on this kind of an interview with you.
