One more suspected honour killing in Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad: Days after a couple and a woman were killed in the national capital region a new case of alleged honour killing has been reported from Ghaziabad.
The incident took place in Dhaulana in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh where a man named Sonu was found hanging from a tree on Wednesday.
The victim's family claims he was in love with a girl from the same village and hence was killed by the girl's family to protect her family's name.
However, the girl's family is denying the claim that the two were having an affair.
The police have ruled out the possibility of it being a case of suicide and have filed charges against the girl's father and brothers following a complaint by Sonu's family.
