Cops act but only after Nanda's driver died

New Delhi: A day after IBN 7 exposed the mysterious death of industrialist Anil Nanda's driver inside his residence, the police has finally decided to act. They have questioned Anil Nanda and his associates and say they may question them again.
But the victim Janeshwar Sharma had to die to be heard. It's only after IBN 7 aired the story and his dying declaration, that the police swung into action. Delhi Police sources say Nanda claimed during his interrogation that he was informed of the attack by some of his employees and he told them to rush Janeshwar to the Apollo Hospital. Although police don't rule out questioning Nanda again, they are still silent on why they didn't record Janeshwar's dying declaration.
Additional Commissioner of Police for South East V S Chahal said, "We have questioned Anil Nanda and all those who were in the house and we may question him again."
Ever since the IBN expose, the Nanda residence wears a deserted look. There has been no movement of cars or people since Thursday night. Where is Anil Nanda and where are his associates?
The police claims to have questioned them, but it's time they are sincere in their investigation as precious time has already been wasted and one life has been lost.
Even the postman had a tough time delivering mail at the Nanda's house which is now completely barred for anyone who is trying to contact them even as pressure is mounting on the police for their inability to act on time.
While defending themselves, Chahal added, "There's no question of inaction... We took action by registering a case under section 307. We are investigating the case."
The police has acquired the footage aired by the IBN Network and will examine it thoroughly to treat it as a piece of evidence in the case.
The victim's family, who are livid on the police, demands justice even as the police seems to have made no significant headway so far.
